It was a successful year for the Chess Club as we were able to make great improvements in quite a few areas. We started off the year with the intention of increasing the funds of the club. Thanks to the donations of the club members and parents, we were able to to work towards our goal. We were able to amass approximately $25,000 in profit which was used to purchase equipment for the club.
In preparation for competitions, practice matches were set up. The second round of the regional playoffs proved challenging but we did well and placed 5th out of 10 second placed schools in the island.
The Club plans to continue improving in the years to come and with the Grace of God, continue doing well.
