Last year the highly motivated cadets set out to achieve the goals they had set themselves.
Enlargening the group, sharpening the skills and gaining experience were priorities. Thus there was a recruitment drive followed by rigorous and intense training. The need to instil " greater measure of discipline" was also another objective that was met. Hours of hard work, of camps, of break time and evening parades paid of, when, with pride and joy we displayed our skills for our annual inspection. The inspecting team was impressed with our overall achievements. We were placed second.
The members of the unit were active participants in a number of functions during the year. These included acting as ushers for our Annual Award and graduation Ceremonies, heritage Celebration, assisting in the High Mountain Coffee Road Race at Williamsfield in Manchester and last, but not least, assisting in the 150th Anniversary of Munro College.
Much improvement and progress have been made this year and it is with a sense of pride and purpose that we look towards an even brighter purpose.
