This department covers the subjects Sociology, History, Geography, Caribbean Studies and Social Studies. For the last decade, the department has had the best CAPE and CSEC result in this institution and that will not change anytime soon.

It must be noted that Mrs. Marjorie Simpson (now fully in the Department of English) taught the social studies group last year and the 100% pass is attributable to her. We continue to work hard as we seek to impart not only things academic, but also help to rebuild the social fabric of our society which has become frayed at the edges.
